CircAdapt is an advanced computer model that enables something extraordinary: creating an exact digital replica of a patient’s heart. This "digital twin" accurately simulates the heart’s pumping function, allowing doctors to:

• Safely test treatments on the digital twin before applying them to the patient.
• Select the best therapy, perfectly tailored to each individual.

Why Your Support Matters

Each year, thousands of people in the Netherlands are diagnosed with heart failure. In current practice, these patients are grouped and treated using a “one-size-fits-all” approach. However, this method fails to address the complexity of heart failure, which is caused by a unique combination of underlying heart conditions in every patient and therefore demands a personalized approach.

With CircAdapt, we can change this. By first testing treatments virtually, doctors can immediately identify the most effective therapy for each individual—whether it’s medication, a pacemaker, or a new heart valve. This innovation is particularly crucial now, as proposed government cuts to higher education and scientific research threaten the development of life-saving technologies like this.
